The Fountain

Reciprocity is the poetics of life.

Exchange is what it means to be alive.

Every line with a beginning; every beginning terminates.

Stop!_______. See, even the silence germinates.

Before mirrors how was your reflection reported?

Couldn't go to the lake, your image distorted.

Self-image distributed through community.

I can only know me through you—that's reciprocity.

Let's not argue or litigate, let's keep it a brief case.

If you turn your back on me I won't know about-face.

Culture and knowledge entwined in longevity.

Pushing peoples practices through perpetuity.

My mom tied my shoes.

Now I can show my kids too.

Endless exchange don't look the same like yin and yang.

Let me paint a picture by giving a reference to frame.

Storytellers share while the crowds listens.

You had to be present once to be considered missing.

Only once it passes do we mourn time.

We create drawings by what we leave behind.

The sun heat waves while the moon tugs.

Waves seek affection while the shore hugs.

It's the energy that pushes out the next tooth.

Because it takes nerve to get to the root.

Eternity is nothing but a constant memory.

Passed along through communal self imagery.

Remember me as I remember you.

Reciprocity is the fountain of youth.
